Rudi Poepsel Lemaitre

Doctoral Researcher

Rudi Poepsel Lemaitre is a doctoral researcher in the chair of Database Systems and Information Management (DIMA) at TU Berlin. Rudi received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in computer science at TU Berlin, where he specialized in data management and machine learning. During his studies, he got awarded the Software Campus grant of 50.000 € to lead his own research project leading to a successful publication at the VLDB 2021. In parallel to his studies, he also constantly worked as an academic tutor and research assistant. Rudi is now currently working on compliant data processing, which aims to specify and support real-world data protection policies, such as the GDPR, at the database level.

  • First TU Berlin master student to get a BMBF‘s Software Campus grant with 50.000 € funding for the management of a research project
  • Qualification to ACM ICPC 2015 programming contest (National - Bolivia and Regional - South America)
  • Two times “Cuadro de honor” (degree for the three best students in the semester within the same program) at the Universidad Privada Boliviana – La Paz, Bolivia
  • Mathematician of the year (2013) German school Mariscal Braun – La Paz, Bolivia
