Student employment with 40-80 hours per month (DIMA)

Working field: The selected candidate will provide supportive assistance in ongoing research activities.

a) Approximately 80% support for scientific work in third-party funded projects (DFG, BMBF, EU, and possibly others) as well as in the ongoing scientific research activities of the BIFOLD Institute in the context of Big Data and Data Science systems, according to BIFOLD's strategic research agenda for the next 7-10 years. Direct collaboration with researchers and immediate assistance in the development and evaluation of research prototypes, performance measurement, and vulnerability analysis of systems for analyzing large data sets and data streams to identify research questions, assisting in the identification and analysis of new algorithms of linear and relational algebra for scalable processing of Data Science pipelines.

b) Approximately 20% direct assistance to researchers and support in reviewing and evaluating relevant scientific literature, as well as in the publication/presentation of research findings achieved.
