BIFOLD Researchers to Present at the 12th MindBrainBody Symposium 2025
Two members ofthe BIFOLD Intelligent Biomedical Sensing Lab, headed by Dr. Alexander von Lühmann, will participate in the upcoming 12th MindBrainBody Symposium 2025 (MBB), scheduled to take place from March 10 to March 12, 2025, in Berlin. Organized by the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, the symposium is held during International Brain Awareness Week and serves as a significant platform for interdisciplinary discussions in neuroscience, psychology, and behavioral sciences.
Representing BIFOLD, PhD students Shakiba Moradi and Tomas Codina will each present a poster showcasing their novel takes on using machine learning methods for multimodal brain imaging in the everyday world. Their contributions highlight innovative approaches to integrating and enhancing neuroimaging data through artificial intelligence.
- Shakiba Moradi will present her research on “Cross-Modality Augmentation of fNIRS Signals Using fMRI for Transfer Learning”
- Dr. Tomas Codina will introduce his study on “Multimodal fNIRS-EEG Sensor Fusion: Data-Driven Methods and Perspectives for Naturalistic Brain Imaging"
The 12th MBB Symposium aims to attract students and scientists globally, particularly those specializing in cognitive, affective, and social neurosciences, cognitive neurology, neuropsychiatry, psychology, and related behavioral and social sciences. With its rich program and interdisciplinary focus, the event offers an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange and collaboration among leading experts and emerging researchers.
